Qatar MotoGP, the duel in the desert
NOW BOOKING FOR 2024! The 2024 Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar, or Qatar MotoGP as we know it, is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular events on the MotoGP™ calendar. The action here takes place at night under the floodlights of the brilliant Losail International Circuit, which sits roughly 30km outside Doha, the exciting and ever-evolving capital city of Qatar.
Located in the Qatari desert, the Losail International Circuit held its first event in October 2004 with the Grand Prix of Qatar, won by Sete Gibernau. In 2008 Qatar celebrated the first floodlit GRAND PRIX in the history of the MotoGP™ World Championship and, since 2007, Qatar has hosted the opening race on the GP calendar however in 2023, due to remodelling work at the circuit, the race was held at the back of the year.
The next GRAND PRIX OF QATAR takes place on 10 March 2024 and, as always, flights, airport transfers, hotel accommodation and MotoGP tickets are included in our packages and for 2024 we are once again including Fast Track Security* and Airport Lounge access* on departure to get your MotoGP™ trip off to a good start.

About the Qatar MotoGP
Qatar has been an independent sovereign state since 1971. It is one of the six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the others being Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. Qatar comprises an 11,500 sq. km peninsula extending northwards into the Arabian Gulf. It has 563 km of uninterrupted coastline. The country’s population stands at 2.69 million and its capital city is Doha.Local time is GMT/UCT + 3 hours. There are no daylight savings adjustments.Qatar has a desert climate with year-round sunshine, hot summers and mild winters. Mean monthly temperatures range from 17°C in January to 36°C in July, sometimes reaching highs of 40°C+ during the summer. Rain is infrequent, falling in brief showers mainly in winter.
